Para este agosto tenemos lanzamientos muy esperados como Beast of Reincarnation (un bello juego de acción de los creadores de Pokémon), Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls (donde Arc System Works reimagina a los héroes y villanos de Marvel en un juego de pelea muy a su estilo) y Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 (que marca el regreso de Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots a plataformas actuales).
Este mes esta retacada de propuestas indies de lo más interesantes destacando Akatori (un metroidvania lleno de acción y plataformero con un hermoso pixel art), Mexican Ninja (mezcla de beat ‘em up y roguelike lleno del más «fino» folklor mexicano) y Wild Blue Skies (secuela espiritual de los juegos de Star Fox).
También este mes estará plagada de secuelas, hallándonos títulos como Aggelos II (juego al que los fans de Zelda II: The Adventure of Link querrán echarle el ojo), Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 (donde pese al poder de fuego seguimos a merced de los xenomorfos), Captain Tsubasa II: World Fighters (que prácticamente traerá a todos los futbolistas que recordamos del anime de Los Supercampeones), Mortal Shell II (que sigue tan oscuro y violento como su antecesor), Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy (que sirve de precuela de la saga A Plague Tale) y The Sinking City 2 (para los que querían más acción lovecraftiana).
