La banda británica de power metal DragonForce nos ha sorprendido hace tan solo unos días con el lanzamiento de un nuevo vídeo con su canción: “Power of the Triforce”. Teniendo la peculiaridad de que su letra está llena de menciones a The Legend of Zelda.
En la canción por ejemplo tenemos referencias a “Hyrule”, a la “Espada Maestra”, a la “Trifuerza”, a “Ganon” y otras tantas más que quizá no mencionen directamente a la saga de juegos de The Legend of Zelda, pero cualquier fan las reconocerá inmediatamente.

No es algo fuera de lo común que grandes agrupaciones les dediquen canciones a los videojuegos, recordemos por ejemplo el caso reciente de Imagine Dragons que compusieron una canción tributo a Starfield de nombre “Children of the Sky (a Starfield song)«, también tenemos a Megadeth con “Gears of War” (referencia directa al juego del mismo nombre) e incluso la misma DragonForce no ha sido ajena a dedicarle temas a los videojuegos anteriormente al dedicarle hace años el tema “Symphony Of The Night” a Castlevania: Symphony Of The Night.
Entendemos que en algunos casos es meramente por publicidad que se hace este tipo de tributos y guiños a videojuegos, pero no deja de ser meritorio el talento y la pasión con la que se han compuesto estos temas (se nota que han jugado los juegos a los que le dedicaron las canciones).
“Power of the Triforce” forma parte del álbum «Warp Speed Warriors«, que saldrá el 15 de marzo del 2024 a través de la compañía discográfica Napalm Records, siendo un álbum que los fans de DragonForce y de The Legend of Zelda seguro no se querrán perder (pueden reservarlo en distintos formatos aquí).
